Custom Painted Table Re-Do
I was out of town for about a month but took some small projects with me to work on. Before I could start any of those though, I found this little table in the corner of my moms front porch. It had been custom painted before apparently and I had to immediately primer it before my brain melted from the black, gold, green, and purple paints slathered all over it. It almost made my head explode. So, the below pic is the “After Primering” pic…I apologize for not showing you the “real” before pic, but trust me, it was scary bad. No idea what they were thinking, and I’m quite sure I don’t want to know.
I hope this is MUCH easier to look at. This is the “After” pic. I painted it in a nice gloss white and used painters tape to add some turquoise stripes across the top. The front drawers and the smaller rectangles beside the drawers were scrap book papered with mod podge. I also redid the frames that are sitting on top of the table. The rectangular one was painted the same turquoise and I added mod podged scrap book paper instead of a photograph. The oval frame was a Salvation Army find that was painted the same turquoise before I added sugar skull fabric atop cork board to use as a pin board near my desk.
Mom loved this custom painted table in her living room as a side table to the sofa but since then I have redone a vintage credenza for her so I am thinking that my niece that loved this piece so much might be getting it. Its definitely perfect for a little girly-girls room!
